Serengeti Plains

Descend from the highlands into the Serengeti. The vegetation thins and the sky opens. Zebra, giraffe, and elephant appear before the park gate. The plains receive you.

A full day in one of the park's most reliable wildlife areas. Start early for predators, then explore kopjes, river lines, and open grassland. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, and large elephant herds are all possible. The guide takes his time.

A second full Serengeti day allows the kind of depth that single nights cannot provide. This is where the quieter moments happen alongside the dramatic ones.
