Fly Camping, Serengeti

Sleep in the open Serengeti bush under a mosquito net with your guide beside the camp. Available through select premium camps. One of the closest experiences to the bush that Tanzania offers.

Hot Air Balloon, Serengeti

The gold standard Serengeti experience. Pre-dawn balloon launch over the migration plains, champagne breakfast in the field. Strongly recommended for luxury safari guests.

Ruaha or Nyerere Extension

Southern Tanzania's wild parks are less visited than the north and offer a completely different safari atmosphere. A fly-in extension from Serengeti or Arusha adds exceptional depth to the luxury journey.

Private Conservancy Access

Some premium camps include access to private conservancies adjacent to national parks, where night drives, walking safaris, and off-road game drives extend what the parks alone allow.

Are charter flights included in the price?

Charter flights are included in most luxury packages as they are central to the fly-in experience. The specific flight routing depends on your park selection and dates. We quote with charter flights included and specify the routing clearly in your proposal.

Can a southern Tanzania extension be added?

Yes. Ruaha and the Nyerere (Selous) ecosystem are the natural additions for guests who want an extended luxury journey. Both are accessible by charter flight from Serengeti or Arusha and offer a completely different wildlife atmosphere from the northern circuit.

What makes a fly-in safari different from a road safari?

The main difference is time efficiency and depth. A road safari from Arusha to Serengeti takes 4 to 5 hours each way; a charter flight takes 45 minutes. The time saved translates directly into more game drive hours and more time in camp. For guests with limited days, a fly-in safari delivers significantly more of the experience they are paying for.
