Our Approach

The Classic Northern Circuit, Built to Breathe

The northern Tanzania circuit has earned its reputation across decades of guiding. Three parks, three completely distinct ecosystems, and enough wildlife between them to shift how you think about what a safari can actually be. What makes the difference is not which parks you visit but how the sequence is paced.

Tarangire opens the circuit slowly. Giant baobabs, elephant herds, and the Tarangire River teach the eye what to look for before the Serengeti's scale takes over. Two full days in Serengeti, one to adjust, one to settle, build the pattern recognition that makes Ngorongoro's crater floor read as something complete rather than simply dense.

We plan and operate this journey ourselves from Moshi. Every guide who meets you at Kilimanjaro Airport has spent years reading these parks through their seasons. Nothing is subcontracted. The logistics, the lodges, and the guiding are all ours.

Common Questions

Before You Book

What is the best time for this safari?
June through October offers dry conditions and excellent wildlife visibility across all three parks. January and February are strong for calving season in southern Serengeti. The circuit works well year-round.
How much driving is involved?
The longest transfer is Tarangire to Serengeti, approximately four to five hours with wildlife sightings along the route. All other drives are two to three hours. Game drives within parks are entirely at your pace.
Is this journey suitable for first-time safari visitors?
Yes. This is the most commonly recommended circuit for first-time visitors to Tanzania. The three-park sequence builds from accessible wildlife in Tarangire through the scale of Serengeti to the concentration of Ngorongoro.
Can the Zanzibar extension be added?
Yes. Five nights on the Zanzibar coast via a domestic flight from Arusha transforms this into the Safari and Zanzibar Escape. The extension is popular and we arrange the domestic flight as part of the full journey.
What accommodation tier is recommended?
Both tiers deliver a genuine Tanzania safari experience. Mid-range properties are well-positioned and properly run. Luxury properties offer additional space, design, and atmosphere. We are happy to discuss both in detail.
What is included in the guide price?
Park fees, all accommodation, all transfers, game drives, and a full-time private guide and vehicle. International flights, visa fees, alcohol, and gratuities are not included. A full inclusions list is provided with your quotation.
