Journey Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Tanzania+

Direction: Kilimanjaro Airport → Moshi (1‑1.5 hrs)

Activities: Airport meet & greet, private transfer, climb briefing and equipment check

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your lodge in Moshi. The remainder of the day remains focused on rest, climb preparation, and a detailed briefing with the mountain team.

Day 2 – Machame Gate to Machame Camp+

Direction: Machame Gate → Machame Camp

Trekking Time: 5‑7 hrs

Activities: Registration at the gate, rainforest trekking, gradual mountain ascent

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Mountain camping

The climb begins through Kilimanjaro's rainforest zone where dense vegetation and changing mountain scenery introduce the rhythm of the mountain.

Day 3 – Machame Camp to Shira Camp+

Day 6 – Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp+

Activities: Summit preparation, alpine desert trekking, rest before summit attempt

Day 7 – Summit Day & Descent to Mweka Camp+

Direction: Barafu Camp → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp

Trekking Time: 10‑14 hrs

Activities: Overnight summit ascent, sunrise at Uhuru Peak, descent through alpine zones

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The summit ascent begins shortly after midnight before reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Following sunrise at the summit, the route descends toward Mweka Camp.

Day 8 – Mweka Camp to Moshi+

Direction: Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate → Moshi

Trekking Time: 3‑5 hrs

Activities: Final mountain descent, summit certificate collection, return transfer to Moshi
