Thoughtful journeys shaped around local respect, environmental awareness, fair operational practices, and meaningful travel experiences across Tanzania.
Amazing Gallery Expeditions is a locally based operator committed to responsible travel. We support local communities, reduce single‑use plastic, ensure fair treatment of Kilimanjaro porters, and design journeys that respect wildlife and the environment.
We believe travel should benefit the places and communities connected to the experience. That includes working with local guides, supporting Tanzanian tourism networks, and encouraging journeys that respect wildlife environments and local culture.
At the same time, meaningful travel does not need to feel performative or overly structured. Some of the strongest experiences come from quieter moments, conversations with guides, time spent in the landscape, or understanding how different regions of Tanzania actually live and move.
Learn more about our philosophy →We live and work here in Tanzania. Our office is in Moshi, and our team is Tanzanian. That means every booking directly supports local employment, local families, and the local economy. Unlike international operators with foreign offices, 100% of our revenue stays within Tanzania.
Being based here also means we have real‑time knowledge of road conditions, wildlife movements, and seasonal changes – which translates into better safari experiences for you.

We have eliminated single‑use plastic water bottles from our safaris. Each vehicle is equipped with large refillable containers and glass bottles. We encourage guests to bring reusable water bottles and refill as needed. This simple change has already saved thousands of plastic bottles from entering Tanzania's environment.
Our lodges and partners are also committed to reducing plastic waste. We choose properties that share our values.
Our Kilimanjaro climbs adhere to the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP) standards. Porters are: paid fair wages, provided with proper meals, supplied with appropriate gear (jackets, trousers, boots), and not overloaded beyond the recommended 20 kg per porter.
We also ensure our mountain crews have access to medical checks, tipping guidelines are transparent, and working conditions are respectful. This is not just ethical – it leads to safer, happier climbs for everyone.

We design safaris with fewer lodge transitions, longer stays in one area, and more time in the bush. This reduces vehicle emissions, minimises habitat disturbance, and gives you a deeper, more relaxed experience. Private safaris also allow us to adjust pacing to avoid crowded wildlife sightings and reduce pressure on popular areas.
We work with locally owned lodges, employ Tanzanian guides and drivers, and source supplies from local markets whenever possible. We also encourage cultural visits that directly benefit villages (e.g., coffee farms, Maasai bomas) with fair compensation.
By choosing us, you are directly contributing to sustainable tourism in Tanzania.
Why travel with us →Our guides follow strict wildlife conduct rules: no crowding animals, no off‑road driving in sensitive areas, no chasing or disturbing wildlife. We respect park regulations and support conservation efforts. We also educate guests on how to observe animals responsibly – quiet voices, staying inside the vehicle, and giving animals space.
We believe that good safari ethics lead to better, more authentic wildlife encounters.
